Pakistan Super League (PSL) 4th Edition Basic Schedule Has Been Announced

The schedule of 2019 Edition of Pakistan Super League has been unveiled and PSL4 will start from 14 February  2019 in UAE. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced last year that Pakistan Super League (PSL4) will be held in Pakistan. However, as per the latest development, PCB announced that at least 8 Pakistan Super League (PSL4) matches will be held in Pakistan and Karachi will host the Pakistan Super League 4th Edition final on March 17. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) didn’t release full schedule for Pakistan Super League (PSL4) once they will announce full schedule we will update soon and you can follow your favorites PSL teams. The number of teams in Pakistan Super League (PSL4) will remain same so the number of matches in Pakistan Super League will also remain same. Last year 34 matches were played in PSL3. 

Because of the security situation that had existed in the country, the first edition of the PSL was fully played in UAE but things have gradually improved and teams and players are more ready to play in Pakistan as time has progressed.

In first Edition of Pakistan Super League(PSL) none of the matches was played in Pakistan but the final of Pakistan Super League 2nd Edition was played in Lahore Pakistan in which Peshawar Zalmi (PZ) won the title. Similarly, In the 3rd Edition of Pakistan Super League, 2 playoff matches and final was played in Lahore and Karachi respectively. And Now PCB has announced that 8 matches of Pakistan Super League will be played in Pakistan. So things are gradually becoming good for Pakistan Cricket fans. So we can hope in upcoming few years complete PSL will be played in Pakistan.

PCB has decided to use again only Lahore and Karachi venues for last 8 matches. Although Rawalpindi and Multan could also be used due to certain reasons PCB has decided to use only two venues for Pakistan Super League 4th Edition (PSL4).

First Three Seasons of Pakistan Super League

1^st Edition of Pakistan Super League:

Islamabad United (IU) was the winner of Pakistan Super League 1st Edition under the captaincy of Misbah-ul-Haq. Total 5 teams participated in the 1st edition of PSL.  Final was played between Islamabad United (IU) and Quetta Gladiators (QG). Lahore Qalanders (LQ) was the first team to be eliminated from PSL1 whereas Peshawar Zalmi (PZ) and Karachi Kings (KK) got knocked out in Playoffs.

2^nd Edition of Pakistan Super League:

The final of PSL2 was played between Peshawar Zalmi (PZ) and Quetta Gladiators (QG) in Lahore, Pakistan. Peshawar Zalmi  (PZ) was the winner of PSL2 under the captaincy of Darran Sammy. Quetta Gladiators (QG) lost this match by 90 runs. Similar to the first Edition of Pakistan Super League 5 teams participated in the 2nd edition of PSL.  Again Lahore Qalandars (LQ) was knocked out in the league round of PSL and Quetta Gladiators (QG)  became 2nd-time runners-up because their key players pulled out from the PSL and refused to come to Pakistan.

3^rd Edition of Pakistan Super League:
In Pakistan Super League 3rd Edition 6 Teams featured for the first time. Multan Sultan first time appeared in Pakistan Super League 3rd Edition1. Islamabad United (IU) was the winner of PSL3 and became champions for the second time. The final was played between Islamabad United (IU) and Peshawar Zalm (PZ). Quetta Gladiators(QG) first time could not qualified for the finals.  Multan Sultans (MS) and Lahore Qalandars (LQ) were knocked out in league round. It was the third time Lahore Qalandar (LQ) could not even qualified for the Playoffs.
